What a wonderful 3 days. Laura Pierce few

across the country to Maryland for a Mason Dixon Atha Guild workshop in Ellicott City. Just a half hour ride from my house... it was perfect!! I learned so much from Laura... I had always wondered about those green and purple shadows on portraits and now I know all about it. I also learned from the other 13 hookers gathered to learn "large cut portraits" from Laura. My project was a semi-old black and white picture of my husband, Robin, and myself that I really liked. Converting it to color gave me a lot of challenge but freedom to use my own imagination. I'd like to try it again in sepia and colorized.

Left is Lissa Williamson and Laura Pierce looking at Lissa's "snarl" oriental rug.
Trying to get Robin's eyes looking at the viewer (below)... and he still needs some work ... but then who doesn't... ha ha
